Join us in The Furlong courtyard as we celebrate all things summer with an array of vibrant activities, performances, and delights that promise to entertain and engage visitors of all ages. Our summer celebration is set to take place in the heart of our community, bringing together live music, dance, delicious refreshments, and exciting retail offers. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Kicking off the festivities, we are thrilled to present live music from the talented Simon Lane, who will be performing from 12 noon to 2pm. Simon’s soulful melodies and energetic tunes are sure to create the perfect summer ambience, providing the ideal backdrop for a delightful afternoon in the courtyard. His repertoire includes a mix of classic hits and contemporary favourites, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
For those who love to dance or simply appreciate the art of movement, we have special performances from the dynamic dance troupe, Jitterbug Jive. They will be showcasing their skills with two spectacular dance performances at 11.30am – 12 noon and again from 2pm – 2.30pm. But that’s not all – Jitterbug Jive will also be offering have-a-go lessons, giving you the chance to learn some fun and lively dance moves. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, these interactive sessions are sure to get your feet tapping and your spirits soaring.
To keep everyone refreshed and satisfied, we will have pop-up refreshments available throughout the event. Indulge in a variety of ice creams and sweet treats that will keep you cool and content as you soak up the summer vibes. Our selection of goodies promises to tantalise your taste buds and provide the perfect complement to the day’s festivities.
Adding to the family-friendly atmosphere, we are offering free face painting from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Let your children’s imaginations run wild as they choose from a range of fun and colourful designs. This activity is always a hit with the little ones and will leave them with a memorable memento of their day at The Furlong.
